Stars Saw Red in 'Heart Truth' Runway Show

Filed under:

The heart disease awareness campaign "The Heart Truth" kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with its annual Red Dress fashion show. Top designers outfitted stars in rouge formalwear and Swarovski jewelry and turn them into models for a day. As usual, last night's show was nothing but glitz, glam and gorgeous. Check out our favorites.

Evergreen diva Patti LaBelle was the most festive of all, showing off her killer gams while rocking down the runway in a short Zang Toi kimono-esque dress, all while singing along to her hit song 'New Attitude.' She was zero nerves and all sass.
'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' star Taraji P. Henson flaunted her curves and flirted with the audience in a sequined, strapless, center-slit Naeem Khan gown. It would only be befitting for her to strut out to Michael Jackson's 'The Way You Make Me Feel.'
Rapper Eve had less-refined beginnings, but her appearance on the catwalk in a one-shouldered David Meister gown was no reflection of that. Though clearly slightly nervous, she held her own and looked amazing -- and nothing like a "pit bull in a skirt."
Mama really knocked us out! Very pregnant former boxer Laila Ali did maternity clothier A Pea in the Pod proud in a floor-length, off-shoulder, belly-hugging crimson gown.
Magazine editor and Oprah bestie Gayle King was lovely in a form-fitting Donna Karan dress. The gown, without being matronly, was totally age-appropriate and a perfect fit for King.
A rose is a rose is a...Garcelle Beauvais, in a full-length, strapless beflowered Monique Lhuillier number. The dress, gathered at the bust with a ruched torso, fit like a glove and was adorably reminiscent of the Red Queen's rose bush.

Who was your favorite runway model?
